HOH RAIN FOREST
30 minutes from A Cozy River House to Upper Hoh Road
Olympic National Park's magnificent Hoh Rain Forest is one of the area's most popular attractions boasting gigantic trees and lush, cascading mosses. It has a trail system including paved Mini Trail (.1 mile), Spruce Nature Trail (1.2 miles), the Hoh River Trail (17.3 miles), and our favorite - Hall of Mosses Trail (.8 miles).
The Hoh Rain Forest is MUST VISIT during your trip rain or shine!

HURRICANE RIDGE
1.5 hours from A Cozy River House
At and elevation of 5,242 ft,Hurricane Ridge is ideal for breathtaking views of the Olympic Mountain Range. Trails range from .5 to 12 miles. Winter affords skiing, snowboarding and ranger-lead snowshoe walks. In summer, you'll see vibrant wild flowers and sightings of deer*, marmot*, and bear!

LAKE CRESCENT
30 minutes from A Cozy River House
One of the most picturesque routes to the west end of Olympic National Park is around Lake Crescent. Multiple turn-outs along the lake afford countless photo opportunities of the crystal blue-green waters and lush forested mountains. On the east side visit Storm King Ranger Station where you can take a short hike to Marymere Falls (1.2 miles). On the west side enjoy La Poel's lakeside picnic area!

It is advisable to adhere to the 35mph speed limit around the lake to avoid being ticketed by a Park Ranger.

SOL DUC RIVER VALLEY & NATURAL HOT SPRINGS
30 minutes from A Cozy River House to Sol Duc Hot Springs Road
The Sol Duc River Valley..... Multiple hiking trails with several leading to pristine mountain lakes. For an additional fee at the Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort you can take a soak following a day of hiking in varying temperature mineral pools.
