Nestled on the bank of the Sol Duc River in a small river community, Cozy 1 is centrally located to the magnificent Olympic National Park and is the perfect spot from which to explore and enjoy the Hoh Rain Forest, Olympic National Forest trails, waterfalls, lakes, fishing and the coastal beaches of this beautifully unique area. Shopping and restaurants are just short five miles north in Forks.  Public fishing area access and boat launch just down the street, and views of the Sol Duc River right out the sliding glass door!
 

Those of you who have been our guests already know the above and have experienced firsthand the warmth and charm of Cozy 1.  Those of you who've only inquired about staying at the cabin likely had that same charm compel you to make an inquiry to stay.  Regardless of how you became connected with A Cozy River House I, we have an announcement to share:

A Cozy River House I has been in our family for decades.  It was built in the 1960's by a group of brothers, along with a couple neighboring cabins, as a fishing cabin. It was constructed prior to building regulations requiring setback from the river. We mention this because most people don't realize: You can no longer build this close to the river, making the river's proximity and river views from the cabin a very rare find!

Since we've received countless requests over the years from vacation rental guests, fishermen, fishing guides, and various people asking us to let them know if ever we decided to sell the cabin - this is the notification.
